Resourceful Mums Limited launched our own brand - Mi Local for Mums App in May 2014. Mi Local for Mums is an essential app for families to discover activities in their local area and across the UK, appearing in Gurgle magazine, Mother & Baby magazine, The Hub including a feature as 'Essential App' of the Months in Prima Baby and Pregnancy in September 2015 –no small feat with over 1 million Apps in the Apple App Store alone. As the proposition and reach has grown Nationally with over 10,000 listings across 18 categories, Mi Local for Mums discovery App has been deployed with unique builds into App stores for iPhones, iPad, Android devices and Windows phones. Major development, product management and testing has gone into the ‘back end’ database, tools, administration, billing and user experience with the internal product and marketing team to ensure continued growth and to support other App propositions quickly and cost effectively with the same rich functions. The Apps running from the platform are able to leverage a fully extensible server based framework to allow 'Search and discovery' of listings and data by users covering search criteria such as categories, age groups, days of the week, postcode and distance from. At home or away in the UK, the Mi Local Apps are there to support the 730,000+ new mums per annum with resources and ideas about what to do and where with their children from birth to 12 years old.
After the birth of my 2 children I retrained as a Personal Trainer specialising in pre and post natal fitness and recuperation. I ran the Buggyfit franchise in Dorset had 4 enjoyable years teaching over 500 mums in outdoor post-natal fitness classes along the beautiful beaches of Bournemouth, Boscombe and Poole
