I am a current O.D. licensed in Colorado and California with 3.5 years of clinical experience. I am looking for a role in the eye care industry that focuses on scientific exchange, product development and high reach patient care. I am passionate about teaching, public speaking, and peer-to-peer development.
I currently work under a corneal, cataract and refractive surgeon. I manage post-ops and a full patient load specializing in ocular disease management, dry eye and specialty contact lenses. I assist my surgeon by performing laser procedures, IPL/RF dry eye treatments, and LAL adjustments. I co-manage directly with local retinal surgery practices, see on call patients for the hospitals and manage systemic conditions with primary care.
I am a Primary Eye Care Provider at two locations in the Denver metro area. I provide routine and medical eye care to all age ranges.
During my time at SCO I have seen patients in primary care, pediatrics, teen clinic, technology, optical, contact lens, vision therapy, low vision, and ocular disease. I have been trained in laser surgery, lumps and bumps removal, ocular, intramuscular and intravenous injections.
My duties as an optometrist technician included greeting and checking in patients, answering phone calls and making appointments, organizing contact lens orders and condensing paper files into online format. I also performed exam pre-testing including autorefractor, NCT, color vision testing, stereo acuity, and dilation. After the doctor saw the patient I was in charge of checking the patient out and ensuring proper billing to their vision endurance. I also preformed contact lens insertion and removal training as well as contact lens pricing and billing. If the doctor required further testing I would preform OCT, visual fields, and macular pigment testing. My time at Antoine eye care gave me an all inclusive view of the different positions required to run a good optometry office.
I serve as many as 40 costumers by suggesting food and drink pairings as well as creating a friendly dining environment. I transcribe orders into computer system for translation to kitchen staff. I also manage daily sales.
