Commodites include aluminum, plastics, carbon, resins, chemicals, media and metal fabricated components. • Developed and implemented strategic sourcing strategies for the Filtration Solutions Group key commodities that align with GBU’s financial and operational metrics. • Lead GBU’s N. American plants in analyzing overall spend and developing strategies to improve overall supply chain operation. Key objectives are to identify preferred suppliers, improve year over year economic purchase price variance (EPPV), consolidate and localize spend, improve days on hand and lead time reduction. • Led a team that consists of a supplier excellence specialist and sourcing project managers. Supplier excellence position focuses on implementing sourcing best practices, process improvement, lead time reduction and supplier scorecard development and execution. Sourcing project managers execute on supplier transition and consolidation in addition to supporting new product development with R&D. • Developed monthly commodity report for GBU’s key commodities and published report to cross-functional leadership and operating team. Report includes latest trends for commodities including guidance and summary where inflation has occurred.     Strategic sourcing position tasked with developing and executing sourcing strategy for mechanical components and contract manufacturer spend for entire dental platform. Mechanical components consist of the following processes: metal and plastic machined components, stamped, injection-molding, thermoforming, sheet-metal and die-cast components. Assure long term supply for Dental Imaging group at world class levels of quality, delivery with year over year improvement of Purchase Price Variance (PPV). • Developed and implemented strategies for dental platform’s contract manufacturing and mechanical component spend globally that improved PPV greater than 22% against standard cost. • Leader of Des Plaines team in outsourcing all of the internal stamping and plastic and metal machining operation to Danaher preferred suppliers in low cost region. In addition to expanding manufacturing floor space, transition allows the plant to integrate newly acquired entity into Des Plaines facility and improve operational efficiency. Commodity transition to outside suppliers resulted in $1.7MM PPV against current internal standard cost. • Apply lean manufacturing tools (Danaher Business System) daily, including the implementation of Policy Deployment to measure results. Present monthly to Dental Imaging Leadership team on current Key Performance Indicators, action plans and countermeasures that are in place to exceed targeted goals.
