Dr. Kuykendall has more than 40 years of successful, progressive experience in program, project, department and office management. His results-oriented career includes engineering design and development; contract and client management; personnel training, development and mentoring; and technical oversight and management of projects and operations. He has managed and directed projects involving: advanced technology and engineering analysis and implementation; systems integration, engineering and analysis; nuclear safety and security; environmental engineering; and risk analysis and management. He has been responsible for business development and marketing, and has a proven history of successful proposals, presentations, client relations and contract negotiations.
Dr. Kuykendall provides support and consultation for clients involved in nuclear safety and security, systems engineering, environmental operations, and technology assessment. Clients include the national and international nuclear industry, defense installations and operations, homeland security, academia, and space research programs. He provides research and position papers, lectures and training, and advisement for programmatic direction and guidance.
Served as manager and technical resource for an engineering and technology consulting firm. Manages a wide range of support services that include systems engineering and integration; nuclear engineering and operations; advanced technology engineering and design; safety, security and risk analyses; and environmental compliance and management programs. He has provided support to a wide range of government, commercial/industrial, and international clients. Provided consultation to local universities on systems engineering educational programs.
Served as the corporate contact for projects in the Eastern U.S., and also served as corporate business development manager. Provided management, direction, and technical support to systems engineering, systems integration, technology evaluation, and safety/environmental analysis tasks.
