I have been working within the Oil & Gas, Mining and Petrochemical industries for more than 30 years in specialist positions as Senior Procurement, Operations and Project Managerial roles. Most recently as Senior Project Procurement Manager for a large global EPCM Oil and Gas Company with a company budget of $560m dollars based in Singapore. Responsibilities from contractual award through to procurement completion, managing purchasing from worldwide suppliers, expediting, inspection, materials and logistics departments from local and international offices, together with client interface, variations, budget planning and reporting.
Assigned to Singapore as PPM ,on a Gas Conditioning Plant EPCM for our client Exxon Mobil located in Victoria Australia, purchasing major equipment and bulk materials in excess of AUD$160 million. Responsibilities included the procurement team of senior buyers, local and source expeditors, local and source inspectors, material management and logistic management, included from contract award through to final delivery and close out. Duties also included: - Preparation and development of procurement plans and procedures, purchase order, terms and conditions inline with the contractual requirement set by the client. - Maintain the material and man-hour budgets - Procure all major equipment and bulk materials from suppliers worldwide using the company bid management system. - Reporting to local, regional and corporate management.
Responsible for the overall operation of Group Engineering which includes mechanical, structural, piping, civil, electrical and instrumential engineering departments, all site and inhouse projects, procurement, safety and administration, reporting directly to the Managing Director and Shareholders, responsibilities and duties include: • Monthly and quarterly reporting to the Board and Shareholders • Establish annual/monthly targets • Responsible for departmental profit and loss reporting • Overview the engineering management (Mechanical, structural civil and electrical accounts) • Project and company systems, processes and procedures • Review and approve tenders • Company budgets by department, capex and financials • Staffing and resource requirements across all departments • Company polices and safety management • Major project management
Manage a division within Group Engineering, reporting to the Managing Director and Stakeholders. Group Design and Drafting is the mechanical, structural, civil division of our engineering design and drafting consultancy, primarily servicing the mining and sugar sectors in Central and Northern Queensland. • Day to day operation of our engineering and drafting office, comprising of mechanical, structural and civil engineers, graduate engineers, designers and draftsmen • Management and cost reporting on major projects • Resource management • Manage and implement projects from the initial conceptual design through to commissioning and final handover to client • Estimating and tender preparation • Prepare and implement company budgets
Part of the Research and Development Team to investigate, improve and commission capital work within the existing refinery. • Preparation of budget estimates and proposals for submission to the NZ Sugar Board • Once approved, select and award relevant sub-contractors • Manage and supervise the day to day running of the project through to commissioning • Approve all final documents and supervise the handover to production
