Sunday nights filled with dread. Three years ago, I became a professional coach thinking I'd "fix" others. Instead, coaching cracked me open. For the first time in years, I could breathe. I wasn't broken, the system was. So I created what I thought teachers needed most: a coaching program. Showed it to 10 educators. Every single one said: "This is fantastic... BUT. We need community first." One teacher nailed it: "I don't need more PD. I need a place where I can be me." So I founded Dance to Your Own Drum (DYOD). A community where you stop marching to someone else's beat and start dancing to your own drum. Where we remember why we became teachers before the system beat it out of us.
