-Collaborates with engineering and product management to develop innovative ultrasound products and AI tools to solve clinically relevant problems -Provides insights on upcoming POC (Point of Care) clinical trends and ultrasound POC marketplace ideas -Contributes to development of a global network of Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) -Supports engineering team in design, implementation and evaluation of system hardware, software features, image quality and usability -Participates in development and management of external evaluation plans for product realses -Collaborates with marketing to develop world class materials such as images, websites, brochures, white papers, clinical marketing images, videos, webinars and social media materials -Provides support for the global sales and applications teams -Plans, conducts and reports on customer related applications projects -Works with a network of specialty physicians to obtain outside research data for AI projects -Supports the development, maintenance, improvement and implementation of working routine/standards for experimental procedures -Identifies opportunities to use the results of development projects in sales situations or for marketing material -Supports clinical optimization and evaluation of new software, options, and probes prior to release
Ultrasound technologist performing scans in general, vascular, OB/GYN, PEDS and procedures
I ran a 5 location ultrasound department for Pro Health. I oversaw multiple employees; FT, PT, Per Diem, travelers, and students. We performed the following: -Outpatient, inpatient, ER cases such as: TV/TA Pelvics, abdomen with or without doppler or elastography, small parts, vascular, some OB and breast cases -procedures/surgeries: hip injections, assisting in IR as needed, hystero, D&C -PEDS cases: Infant hips, infant spines, renal artery doppler, neonatal head scans -I was the only tech qualified and trained to do MSK exams such as: Shoulder, knee, elbow, wrist, hand, foot and ankle -Additional tasks included ACR recertification, and updating policy, procedures and protocols to keep up with new standards.
I ran a multi-room, multi-location ultrasound department at a fast paced outpatient clinic overseeing about 10 employees on average. We performed the following: -general ultrasound: TA/tV pelvic, abdomen with or without doppler, renal with or without doppler, small parts and soft tissue exams. -vascular; arterial (upper and lower), ABI, reflux, DVT (upper and lower), kidney and liver tx, carotid, TCD, grafts, stents, AVF -OB: follicle studies, IVF, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester, BPP, MCA and umbilical doppler -PEDS: Infant hip, infant spine -Procedures: biopsies (liver, kidney, etc.), drainages (both para and thora) -Surgeries (as needed): endarterectomies, vein strippings, hystero, liver resections *Things of note: I received training in elastography, contrast ultrasound imaging and fusion imaging with CT and MRI.
I oversaw a small outpatient facility. We performed: Women's services: breast, breast BX, post surgical breast exams, needle LOC, surgical breast cases, TA/TV pelvic, 1st, 2nd, 3rd trimester OB, BPP General: Abdomen, pelvic, small parts Vascular: Upper and Lower arterial and venous, ABI, reflux, carotid, aorta, transplant doppler I worked closely with upper management and Radiology Physicians to help overhaul their imaging protocols, workflows and techniques to stay compliant with ACR guidelines. I worked closely with management for hiring decisions for the department and oversaw 7 technologists during my employment.
