I am on a mission to align global markets to value natural capital and develop better climate & biodioversity metrics. I currently work as an independent advisor, supporting high-level strategy and technical implementation for carbon projects and nature-based solutions. Most recently, I headed up the ratings department at BeZero Carbon where I led a team of 70 climate and geospatial scientists assessing 400+ carbon projects. Previously, I focused on standard setting at the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market. I have a long history of building public-private collaboration at the UN and the World Economic Forum. I started out on sustainable banking with the UNEP Finance Initiative and later launched WEF initiatives to decarbonize heavy industry and transport sectors, leveraging carbon markets for nature conservation and the Net Zero Challenge. Once upon a time, I started my career with my boots on the ground in a National Park in Ghana. I quickly realized you cannot save the forest by standing in the forest and pivoted to the international policy space. I ended up following the SDG process at UNHQ in New York before moving to Geneva to focus on metrics and quality standards for the carbon market. When I am not discussing carbon accounting, you can find me moonlighting as a fiction editor (with a special love for memoir). On this platform, I am interested in all the things at work that aren’t about work but determine how we show up at work.
Building high integrity forest carbon projects.
Serving as an expert on the decarbonization cluster. Mentoring early stage startups on carbon finance and sustainability ratings.
Helping clients navigate the climate policy landscape, comply with reporting requirements and unpack quality frameworks for the carbon market.
Getting your story on paper. I work with (aspiring) authors to develop a book that feels true to them.
