Tequila, as the NYC Outreach Lead on the Education for Social Impact Team at Google, is a driving force behind New York City's tech education outreach initiatives. A passionate advocate for excellence and equity in tech education, she actively addresses disparities in computer science and digital skills education. Tequila's dedication to education spans the cradle-to-college spectrum, with prior roles as Executive Director/Head of School at a STEAM charter school, leading early learning programs at the YMCA, and supporting first generation college students at Clark Atlanta University. Her leadership in the education sector extends beyond her professional accomplishments. Tequila is a proud mother of two sons and a supportive spouse to a fellow Googler. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading the latest selection from McNally Jackson, training for her next marathon, and exploring new restaurants in her Harlem neighborhood.
