Hello! I am Zhi Sen, working at the interface of technicals and business. I aim to lead and manage projects with my technical knowledge from engineering roles / research stints / field of study, along with my experiences in VC / Accelerator industry and startup ecosystem. My drivers in life include serving people (my family, my mentors and my team) and learning from every person I meet, every book I read and every situation I am put into, to be a better person.
- Drove the overall vision, mission, and strategic direction of Maple, aligning with our customers' needs and market opportunities in fashion tech and AI. - Oversee the development of Maple’s product, marketing and algo team to move the project forward - Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including our first fashion personality quiz which serves as a POC to prove that personalisation has a positive impact on retail companies' impressions, engagement and conversions. - Lead a cross-functional team of SWEs, data scientists and marketers to deliver on Maple’s product roadmap and business goals. - Designed High-Fi prototype for Alpha Launch and MVP with Figma. - Launched Alpha Launch and conducted Alpha Testing with users through playstore.
- Project Description: Biproduct characterisation and formation reduction/removal to reduce choking of backside line - Characterise biproducts chemical compositions and physical quantities - Design of experiments (DoE) for compound detection, measurement, analysis, removal and reduction - Research and review used cases and findings and analyse research papers regarding etchants, bi-products and gaseous etching processes
I am responsible for teaching tutorials of the Computing Methodology module for Engineering students, CS1010E. I am also in-charge of marking of assignments and practical examinations.
- Led China market research in high-impact projects, including 3 market research decks for a Brazil Acceleration Programme for startups in AgriTech and MedTech sectors - Conducted in-depth market research across diverse sectors (Semiconductor, MedTech) to understand market dynamics, and identify partnership opportunities - Acted as a primary liaison with government entities and stakeholders (including startups and partnering institutions) for the China International Entrepreneurship and Innovation Challenge, to understand technical and business requirements of startups and conduct successful business matching - Utilized technical engineering knowledge and venture capital research skills to provide actionable insights and recommendations for startups and corporate partners.
