Hi! I’m Zhan Rong, a Financial Consultant. My journey started in ACS(I) and HCI, while representing Singapore as a national canoeist, before moving into B2B sales over the past 3 years. Looking back, each environment shaped me differently. Sports taught me discipline, resilience, consistency and how to perform under pressure. B2B sales taught me communication, relationship management, emotional intelligence and the importance of understanding people beyond surface-level conversations. Over time, I came to appreciate that leadership, performance and growth are not just about pushing harder externally. They are also about: - emotional intelligence - communication - calibration - responsibility - self-awareness - and understanding people more deeply That perspective eventually led me toward something bigger: How financial decisions quietly shape almost every major part of a person’s life. The opportunities people can pursue. The stress they carry. The freedom they have. The security of their family. Their retirement. Their legacy. The more people I met, the more I realised everyone is navigating different goals and pressures depending on their stage of life. A fresh graduate may be focused on building stability and opportunities. A young professional may be balancing career growth, lifestyle and future planning. A business owner may be thinking about cashflow, scalability and protecting what they built. Parents often think about security and creating a better future for their children. Retirees may focus on preservation, healthcare, peace of mind and legacy. Different people. Different goals. Different definitions of success. That was one of the biggest reasons I chose to enter Financial Advisory. Not simply to provide products, but to create genuine long-term value through: - clarity - education - trust - and meaningful relationships I believe good advisory starts with understanding people deeply: their goals, concerns and the future they are trying to build.
