I am thrilled to be working with RCM Health Care Services in the Denver Public School district, treating preschool through 6th grade students!
Skills: ● Planned and led individual and group treatment to students in the following areas: articulation, phonology, language, social pragmatics, and stuttering. ● Provided scaffolding to meet various speech, language, and behavioral needs. ● Supported clients using AAC devices. ● Collaborated with supervisors, occupational therapists, special education teachers, and classroom teachers. ● Reported on students’ strengths, challenges, and goals to parents and educators in IEP meetings. ● Educated teachers and other professionals on speech and language impairments.
Skills: ● Early intervention and pediatric clients with articulation, language, pragmatics, feeding, and cognition disorders. ● Selected formal language assessment appropriate for the clients and analyzed results to select the most appropriate treatment targets. ● Developed goals and objectives for clients to work toward and identify areas of progress and challenges. ● Documented assessment results in the formal evaluation report and patient performance in daily SOAP notes. ● Prepared engaging exercises and activities to use during speech sessions with clients. ● Adjusted treatment activities based on the client’s performance to maximize progress.
