London, Ontario, Canada
I have earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts with a double major in history and anthropology from Carleton University in Ottawa. Additionally, I studied abroad at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland during my undergraduate studies. In the fall of 2024, I began studying for my master's degree in public history at Western University which I have now completed. I am currently in the role of Public History consultant in the City of London's Culture Services Division. As a dedicated public historian, I have a passion for uncovering and preserving the diverse narratives that shape our collective past. Specializing in digital history, oral history, and historical research, I employ innovative methodologies to bridge the gap between traditional historical scholarship and community engagement. With a strong foundation in historical research, I have contributed to various projects that document and interpret the experiences of local Ontario communities. This work often involves collaborating with local organizations, conducting oral history interviews, and utilizing digital platforms to make historical materials accessible to a broader audience. In addition to fieldwork, I am committed to advancing the practice of public history through education and mentorship. I actively participate in workshops, conferences, and publications that promote best practices in oral history and digital archives, ensuring that the stories of the past continue to inform and inspire future generations. My participation also extends to volunteer roles such as the role of Public History Representative for Western's History Graduate Student Association and as the face behind London Middlesex Historical Society's TikTok.
