Worked with State Senator David Koehler's campaign team in a number of progressive, efficient, and effective manners to insure his win of another term as state senator. I canvassed hundreds of voters on a daily basis telling them the importance of the 2012 state senate race in their district and I worked tirelessly to convince them why Senator Koehler is the right choice. I also helped out with Senator Koehler's re-election bid by entering invaluable constituent data and by assisting my manager coordinate special events, such as fundraisers, where we have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Senator Koehler's campaign. Additionally, I have helped recruit and train volunteers, interns, and newly hired staff.
Worked on a number of public relations documents, including press releases, and events with small businesses and large corporations as well as helped Representative Gordon-Booth stay in touch with her constituents through personal dialect, oral presentations, and letters while she worked in Springfield, Illinois.
I was responsible for tending to customers' money when they order a snack or meal at our university's athletic or entertainment events so the customer could enjoy that event as much as possible. In order to make the concession stand service work well I needed to work with a group of people from various backgrounds. I was also responsible for preparing the food and concession stand before events began and then cleaning up the area after events were over with.
Coordinated group activities and games for as many as 90 children and teenagers so that they would enjoy their day at camp while staying in a safe environment. While working at the YMCA I would have to work with other counselors who had very different lifestyles and backgrounds so that the camp could run efficiently, enjoyably, and safely. This job required a great deal of energy and enthusiasm because my large camp would normally spend the majority of the day in the summer's heat.
