- Review design documents, shop drawings, specifications, and standards and communicate with project teams risk areas and constructability considerations - Advise pursuit teams on building envelope system choices, constructability considerations and value engineering opportunities - Contribute to design-assist processes during develope of conceptual and schematic design - Conduct forensic investigations of non-compliant installed systems and produce technical reports summarizing the core failure mechanisms and potential solutions Project types include: commercial, institutional, healthcare, federal, defense and high-rise residential.
- Conduct construction and site reviews, monitoring quality of construction; - Liaise with contractors, sub-consultants and clients; - Contribute to the internal knowledge systems within the building science practices team, particularly facades and building physics; - Contribute to contract administration processes on projects including preparation of specifications packages and bid reviews; - Assist in proposal preparation and budgeting for projects; - Apply engineering knowledge to complete building condition evaluations of various assemblies and audit projects.
