I am deeply passionate about the importance for biodiversity conservation, especially in Singapore's context, with a strong interest in avifauna. I an always seeking new opportunities to challenge myself, as well as expand my own horizons.
- Assisted in data recording for flora surveys in mangroves, secondary forests and intertidal areas (seagrass) - Assisted in data recording for birds, invertebrates (butterflies and odonates), aquatic and night fauna surveys - Helped in camera trap maintenance and sorting of footage - Deployed malaise traps and carried out insect sorting and identification to Order level - Assisted in writing draft EIA and EMMP reports, performing literature reviews and collating information from contractor documents
Guide and educate students ranging from preschool to secondary school on biodiversity and conservation topics at various nature reserves and areas in Singapore. Also introduce to them the different flora and fauna that can be found at the specific sites.
In charge of overseeing the smooth-running of BES Drongos. In charge of also looking out for opportunities for liaising with external organisations for potential collaborations.
Planned events for the BES student body to participate in to facilitate bonding among BES students. These events include Night Cycling, as well as Graduation Party.
