As a quality specialist I hold more responsibility and made more decisions relating the product safety and -quality issues in the factory. I also had a big role in the supplier and supply approval processes and I was responsible of evaluating and approving the supply (eg. raw material and packaging material) specifications. I was also a superuser in a Unibake International –level project about developing a new system for supplier management and product data management for all the Lantmännen Unibake bakeries.
I worked with food safety, supplier management, product information and product quality. I ensureed that the production is run according to BRC requirements and GMP by providing training to production workers of timely subjects as well as supervising that the requirements are followed. In addition to regular product evaluations and reporting, my responsibilities were also weekly food safety audits, preparing for several quality system and food safety audits (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BRC, SQMS, AIB), creating and updating product specifications, writing product labels according to legislation and handling of complaints. I performed also supplier audits as well as internal audits and participated in continuous improvement projects (eg. 8D-tool). I worked in close co-operation with production, product development, purchasing, sales, marketing, suppliers and maintenance.
I worked in a project, where the aim was to study the effects that enzyme treatments would have on the Hartmanns process to produce egg packaging from recycled fiber (moulded-fiber production). My responsibilities were to investigate and map the potential enzyme applications from the literature, select the application that would be the most beneficial for Hartmann, plan and execute the laboratory and pilot scale tests in the production site in Denmark as well as analyze and report the results from the tests. I also participated in the full scale trials performed in the production site in Croatia based on my previous test results.
