I’m a Year 2 student at Singapore Polytechnic, pursuing a Diploma in Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics, with a strong passion for network security and infrastructure hardening. I have hands-on experience working with both Windows and Linux environments, and I’m confident in configuring network devices, VLANs, firewalls, and secure remote access. My skills also extend to network traffic analysis, enabling me to detect abnormal behavior and mitigate threats effectively. What sets me apart is not only my technical expertise, but also my ability to adapt quickly, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively in team environments. I take initiative, speak up when needed, and embrace responsibilities to ensure shared goals are met. In recognition of my leadership and strong work ethic, I was proud to receive the EAGLES Award in 2023. I’m continuously learning and experimenting with best practices in network segmentation, access control, and threat detection at the network layer, while staying up to date with evolving attack vectors and mitigation strategies. I’m currently seeking internship opportunities where I can apply my knowledge to secure network infrastructure, contribute to cybersecurity operations, and learn from industry professionals in network security engineering, SOC networking, or infrastructure defense.
As a student-athlete at Singapore Polytechnic, I had the opportunity to represent the school in the POL-ITE basketball competition, competing against teams from other local institutions. Playing at this level demanded discipline, resilience, and strong time management as I balanced rigorous training schedules with academic responsibilities. Through this experience, I developed a deeper understanding of teamwork, strategy, and mental toughness—qualities that continue to shape my approach to both personal and professional challenges. Competing at POL-ITE has been a valuable part of my growth, reinforcing my commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
As the captain of my basketball team, I’ve developed strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills both on and off the court. I take pride in motivating my teammates, fostering a positive and disciplined team culture, and leading by example during training and competitions. When the coach is unavailable, I step up to guide practice sessions—planning drills, running plays, and ensuring the team stays focused and cohesive. This experience has strengthened my ability to adapt under pressure, resolve conflicts, and support others in achieving shared goals—skills I carry into every team I work with, whether in sports or in cybersecurity.
