I design software for the space between people and AI-powered robots: interfaces, decision systems, and trust-building interactions that help operators understand what’s happening and act with confidence. I’m a software product design leader and design technologist with 20+ years of experience shaping UX strategy, interaction systems, design standards, and product direction for complex software used at scale. I’ve designed and led work across autonomous robotics, fleet operations, internal production tools, creator platforms, advertising systems, enterprise SaaS, and consumer products at companies including Anduril, Netflix, Gem, Lyft, Atlassian, and Meta. My strongest work sits at the intersection of ambiguous problem framing, human-machine interaction, systems-level UX, craft quality, and cross-functional leadership. In practice, that means helping teams clarify the vision, understand the constraints, turn messy problems into executable strategies, and maintain a high bar for design from early concept through delivery.
Managing software design teams and outcomes for the AI-driven Lattice platform, specifically for maritime fully autonomous robots. Including maturation of the software empowering the planning and operation of long term autonomy missions. Driving software product strategy and design decisions through AI agent prototyping and exploration. Paired with strong principles around situational awareness and human-machine interaction. (Ask me about the latest research I’m digging into!) Also contributing to the growing software product design’s team culture and rituals, as well as Anduril design systems and internal practices.
- Designed foundational systems, frameworks, and tools for product teams to communicate with Netflix members. - Innovated proprietary tools for content management, enhancing Netflix Studio's efficiency.
Founded Shape, a two-sided platform for designers and startups. Helping them find the best in each other through design interviewing prep, coaching, and community. Designed and built an entire user platform from scratch using AWS, React, and a lot of late nights.
As Gem's first design hire, I was entrusted with integrating and establishing the role of design in the company. - Established and led the product design process, team, and strategy. - Achieved a unicorn status for the company, reaching a $1.2 billion valuation.
- Key figure in autonomous transportation design, reducing data curation costs by 900%! - Developed a web platform for fleet management, reducing vehicle onboarding time by 85%. - Designed and launched Lyft's first web-based rider platform.
