About

I’m a second-year Mechanical Engineering student at The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. My academic and personal growth are shaped by consistency, effective time management, and a willingness to learn, allowing me to balance academics and extracurricular interests. I approach challenges with curiosity and persistence, viewing them as opportunities to improve and adapt. I recently completed a Mechanical Engineering internship at GUAP, where I contributed to the design and development of the StableTeller terminal. During this experience, I gained hands-on exposure to CAD modelling and engineering documentation while working on ergonomics, component integration, and durability considerations to support real-world use. This experience strengthened my appreciation for applied engineering and highlighted the importance of thoughtful design and clear communication in real-world projects. Outside of academics, I enjoy going to the gym, hiking and reconnecting with nature, recreational sports, word games, and spending time with family and friends. I value balance, continuous learning, and collaboration, and I’m eager to continue developing my technical and professional skills as I grow within the engineering field.

I'm grateful for the opportunity I've been given to work together with the staff at Guap to contribute to the design and development of their new StableTeller terminal. My focus will be on mechanical and physical design aspects, where I translate functional requirements into CAD models and design documentation, explore considerations related to ergonomics, component integration, and field durability, as well as gain experience with the design review processes.
