Rig manager and special projects
The rig manager is a business unit manager and is responsible to manage the Entire Drilling operations, Finance, Safety, HR and Supply chain.
Working as performance manager with the corporate operations manager to develop our operations and improve our business strategies around the company. One of my responsibilities is to study our performance and writing new (company wide) strategies to meet our preset goals and benchmarks
Joined Transocean as part of the OMDP program where I worked and participated in different areas and roles in the company’s worldwide activities. During the training period “as Project Engineer” and as a result of good performance, I was temporarily pulled from the program to work as the Project Manager for two multimillion $ projects and both were delivered ahead of time, under budget and was a big success OMDP Program (2009_2013) in different areas: Egypt, India, UAE, Saudi Project Engineer 2011 Project Manager 2012-2013 Graduation from OMDP program in Geneva, Switzerland. Operations Engineer DWE, First Drillship to ever work in Saudi waters
I was assigned to be the Project Manager for the rig acceptance between Transocean and Saudi Aramco. The Deepwater Expedition is the first drill ship to ever work in Saudi Arabia. this was challenging on both Transocean and Saudi Aramco sides. After the appreciate delivery (ahead of time) project completion, I was assigned to be the Operations Engineer II for the drillship. I was assigned different various special projects on the rig.
I was assigned to be part of the corporate “Subsea Task Force” team whose main goal is to study the subsea operations, maintenance failures, and then improve the efficiency of the whole fleet which was the company black hole. During this time, I was responsible for and achieved the following: The responsible person to study and monitor the whole fleet (128+ Business units) Subsea Operations and provide guidance for corrective actions or improvement opportunities Lead Author and creator for the first of its kind maintenance strategy in the history of the company “IBWM Strategy” Focal point and the custodian for the Business intelligence projects linking different company systems: RMS, GMS, and ICS mainly to enhance the maintenance systems and reliability
