As Microsoft’s Chief Marketing Officer, I lead the company’s global marketing efforts, including product marketing, advertising, market research, events, and communications across Microsoft’s product and service portfolio. Throughout my tenure, I’ve worked across an array of teams, developing business models that have helped establish a connected ecosystem of sales and marketing that harness data to optimize customer journeys. Prior to joining Microsoft, I served as a trade negotiator for the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) within the Japanese government.
As Chief Marketing Officer, I lead Microsoft’s global marketing efforts, including product marketing, advertising, market research, events, and communications across Microsoft’s product and service portfolio.
As Commercial CMO of Microsoft, I drove the company’s business model and go to market strategy for the company's broad portfolio of commercial offerings that help customers digitally transform.
Leading the Cloud Marketing business group, I was responsible for driving go to market strategy and execution for Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform services, as well as broad portfolio of on-premises software offerings spanning Windows Server, SQL Server, and Visual Studio families. Similar to the previous role, I helped drive Microsoft's business transformation to the cloud. I also helped establish a unified digital marketing platform for Microsoft's commercial business in the form of Global Demand Center, so that we can better orchestrate our customers' journeys across multitudes of engagement points (web, events, RM etc.) and across Microsoft's broad product portfolio.
