About

Systems and network architect building the future of broadband and predictable, real-time wireless systems through research, architecture, and real world deployment. With 10+ years of experience and current leadership roles in the (NSF and NTIA Funded) $16M ARA, $42M ACCoRD, and $10M ArMORED projects, I focus on rural broadband, Open RAN, 5G/6G, and scalable network design. I bring strengths in systems and networking architecture, wireless innovation, interoperability, and high impact technical leadership.

Experience

  • Research Assistant at Iowa State University
    Jan 2021 - Present · 5 yrs 6 mos

Leading wireless network subgroup in ARA PAWR Project, a $16M wireless living lab funded by NSF for addressing the rural broadband challenges. Designed a large-scale testbed to identify the right equipment and ensure multi-scale and multi-dimensional research use-cases on the testbed for rural wireless and application innovation. Implemented the end-to-end testbed network including routers, switches, servers, radios, antennas, and cabling, actively contributing to the planning, installation, development and end-to-end to integration of the testbed. Actively engaged with vendors and contractors to ensure planned roll-out of the individual networked equipment. Deployed Openstack-based software framework for testbed resource modeling and management, contributing to the software stack and documentation on the project Gitlab repo.
