My journey started in Pakistan with Daily Jang, where I helped shape the Jumma magazine that later evolved into the Sunday edition. From there, I moved into radio and became one of the first RJs to broadcast the Kalma live from Birmingham on Radio Milap. That breakthrough opened doors, and soon I joined BBC Asian programming, where I built a career rooted in storytelling, community connection and media innovation. During my years in the UK, I stayed close to the creative world. I helped launch some of the first East-West nightlife experiences, including Ministry of Sound’s Mela 2000 events that brought British Asian culture into the mainstream. I later stepped into print media, helping create and grow British Asian weekly newspaper & Magazine Music was another chapter. Through Love Records, I worked with artists like Dr. Zul, Nangana Tehrani and others, supporting projects that blended tradition with modern sound. My work kept expanding across industries because I always saw media as a bridge between people, ideas and cultures. Entrepreneurship followed naturally. I launch PFDE Pakistan Fashion Design Expo, a platform that gave hundreds of designers international exposure. I also built Poshlums Interiors, another project that grew from a small idea into a respected business. Over the years I led multiple start-ups, events, creative ventures and media platforms across Pakistan, the UK and the Gulf. Today I lead Arabian Leaders magazine as CEO and Editor-in-Chief. For more than three years, I’ve overseen content that spans culture, business, politics, travel and leadership. My work has focused on bringing meaningful stories to life and celebrating influential voices across the region. I also founded the Arabian Jewel Awards, where we honor leaders, innovators and changemakers in the world. I am building Alalef.com, a global nonprofit under the Council of International Leaders. Everything I have created media platforms, awards, projects, networks will now operate within this nonprofit framework.Alalef.com aims to become the first international NGO to operate in more than 100 countries within its first 12 months. Our mission is simple but urgent: Hunger. Education. Shelter. For every community. For every country. We are building a network of leaders who want to create real change.
