Terminal de LNG de Altamira (TLA) is the only LNG import facility on the East Coast of Mexico and has been in operation since 2006. The imported LNG is unloaded at the terminal, stored and evaporated to natural gas before it is delivered to the transmission network for the Mexican market. The terminal has a throughput capacity of 5.7 billion cubic meters per year (bcma).
