With nearly 20 years of experience in tech and e-commerce, I built and scaled OLX Europe's legal function from the ground up, growing it from a single-person operation to a team of approximately 40+ legal professionals, based at Prosus HQ in Amsterdam, Netherlands, leading legal across multiple European and Central Asian markets, including Bulgaria, Germany, Kazakhstan, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan, with recent expansion into France and Spain. I provided legal leadership to a fast-growing business approaching $1B in annual revenue, delivering 20%+ year-on-year growth across 7 European markets. Over 15 years within the Prosus group, including nearly 10 years at OLX, one of the world's largest technology investors operating across 80+ countries on five continents, I've had an exceptional environment for growth and continuous learning. Working alongside legal and business leaders from global brands across multiple markets created a unique opportunity for cross-pollination of ideas and best practices that few in-house roles can offer. It shaped how I think about building legal functions that are truly global in mindset, not just in geography. I build legal teams that the business wants in the room, not ones it has to invite.
