• Co-supervised research projects undertaken by both undergraduate and graduate students, assisting development of experimental protocols, data analysis and reports
- Assisted development of algorithms for automated diagnosis of paediatric heart murmurs from heart sound data. - Developed a Bayesian Statistical Analysis Plan to evaluate performance during clinical trials. - Developed simulations of clinical trial end-points from the SAP to inform sample size predictions. - Led efforts to improve both feature engineering and neural network architecture, yielding improved performance and lower cross-validation variance. - Developed an R&D architecture for iterating & evaluating new methods. - Developed a production-ready pipeline for rapid inference, including bayesian uncertainty propagation
• Assisted R&D for a low-cost wearable medical device, leading prototype testing & troubleshooting • Developed UI software for wireless device control with real-time analysis and visualization of streaming data • Developed and patented algorithms improving on traditional processing pipelines for neuroimaging data • Developed a novel all-in-one algorithm for the statistical modelling of neuroimaging data, including signal topography, biophysical signal contamination, and spectrographic physics • Developed advanced hierarchical multi-output models to link brain data & behaviour data from clinical trials
