*Hey, I'm Sydney 👋* I post learning insights for L&D professionals, all things content marketing, and anything to do with working moms. I’m the Director of Content + Community at Maestro, a learning innovation company, and the founder of syd.nord. Whether it’s connecting learning leaders to inspiring resources or helping working moms experience more joy and less overwhelm, I feel incredibly grateful that I get to create positive change through all of my work. I’m incredibly passionate about the power of content. Dreaming up amazing content ideas lights me up—and I swear my brain thinks in blog-post titles and download ideas. I’ve served on the Maestro team for more than ten years, allowing me to help shape our company vision, mission, core values, and market positioning. I lead our content and community efforts, which is primarily relationship building. I spend a lot of time identifying our audience’s passions, needs, and pain points and matching those with meaningful content opportunities that help learning professionals grow. I also serve on the Leadership and Core Leadership teams as the Community lead. Even after the work day ends, I can’t stop creating content—I founded syd.nord to help other working moms implement plans, systems, and tools to help them live full lives with less stress and more joy. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and an M.S. in Marketing and Management, and I was a D1 volleyball player at The University of Virginia (wahoowa!)—Charlottesville is still one of my favorite places in the entire world. I'm a girl-mom x3 and I'm happiest when I’m spending time outside with my girls, my husband, and our dog Miles—who has more Instagram followers than me, by the way (@milesoberlin). I believe movement is medicine, especially when you’re living the work-from-home life. (Yes, I’m that girl that walks about 90 miles a month on my walking pad while working). A few of my favorite things: Thai food, Nutella, and a cozy, oversized crew neck sweatshirt.
