Sydney Hill

Director of Operations at the U.S. House of Representatives

Washington, District of Columbia, United States

About

I have had a passion for service my entire life. My love for country and desire to serve others naturally led me to a career on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. I first started as an intern and then Staff Assistant on Capitol Hill while pursuing a degree in Political Science from Texas Christian University (TCU). Upon returning to Texas to finish my degree, I continued my involvement in public service by interning for Congresswoman Kay Granger's District and Campaign offices. Since graduating from TCU, I've excelled as a Scheduler at the U.S. House of Representatives, where I coordinate all scheduling for U.S. Representative Vern Buchanan (FL-16). My skills in problem-solving, resilience, detail orientation, and organization are put to use daily as I manage intricate itineraries and oversee scheduling requests, ensuring seamless operations for both the Member and staff. I am a hard worker who will get a task done no matter the odds. I accredit my family for instilling a strong work ethic and tenacity in me. I wish to serve my great country to preserve values of freedom and democracy. In addition to serving the country I love, I aim to serve those around me every day with a positive attitude and doing whatever I can to help.
