I started to work in the research group BioGEM, later called iPRACS, in 2017 right after I graduated as a master in chemical engineering at the University of Antwerp. I am passionate about track & field running and physiochemistry and I am dedicated to do research where industrializability and sustainability is important to bring challenging topics to solutions and concrete realizations.
*Active in projects involving physicochemical and chemical separation techniques of products originated from waste materials with a strong focus on Industrial feasibility. *Analysis of complex mixtures of waste material and development of analytical techniques for unknown mixtures. *Product development & problem solving. *Lab organisation & planning, coaching of thesis students, guiding lab courses. *Downstream processing and valorization of pyrolysis oils from waste plastic.
Master Thesis with a strong focus on emulsions and surfactants and their dynamic properties. - Formulation of hydrophobic coatings in water based mediums and investigation of their dynamic properties. -Physicochemical and stability testing of tensio-active materials and formulations of hydrophobic coatings.
The Company is a study program in the faculty of applied engineering at the University of Antwerp. It was founded to encourage entrepeneurship among students. This is realised by providing the needed knowledge and by using a lot of practical methodologies. The entire program is leaded by a selected group of four final year students. As communications director I was responsible for: -The lead of a team which maintains the internal and external communication of The Company. -Promotion and organisation of events. -Planning, teamwork and coaching.
In this bachelor project I did research on purification methods of anthocyanins from berries press cake.
