My work at T-Systems is at the intersection of our delivery, sales and our research partners for our data and AI initiatives. My tasks range from solution design, building prototypes, briefing management to C-level workshops and holding keynotes. Our customers range from ministries to large multinational corporations. I am responsible for creating solution designs with an emphasis on GenAI and agentic solutions and helping to shape our future souvereign portfolio and tech stack.
I led the ambitious Natural Language Understanding team at Fraunhofer IAIS - a team of 15 highly skilled people, ranging from senior researchers with up to 40 years of experience in AI to juniors who just graduated. Together we built solutions in the domains of Enterprise Content Management, Retail, Legal Tech and Healthcare Analytics based on pre-trained language models, in particular transformer based models such as BERT and GPT.
I led various projects as Senior Data Scientist.
As Data Scientist at Fraunhofer IAIS I worked on several industrial and research based projects. The projects ranged from information extraction from contracts to patient-centric document recommendation in the field of medicine. I led projects and the development of some of our tools. One of my focuses was the integration of research in industrial applications and the creation of AI-Demonstrators for the competence center of machine learning ML2R. My own research focused on the integration of knowledge in textual representations such as e.g. word or document embeddings. I also colecture the course "Deep Learning for Text Mining" at Fraunhofer IAIS.
Data Mining Internship at G1/PJ-DM During my internship in Palo Alto I worked on Data Mining related projects in the field of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management and Sales. The predictive part of the projects I worked on ranged from regression and classification problems to time series analysis. I helped to develop solutions in the field of test-time reduction, first-pass-yield improvement, sales/demand forecasting and quality enhancement. Tasks included: ETL, Predictive Analysis, Descriptive Analysis, Close Customer contact, Business Understanding Tools used: Python (ipython, pandas, sklearn, etc...) , pyspark, KNIME, alpine, ...
