I am currently teaching highschool students (age 12 till 18) how to work efficiently with Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access. Some classes also get a basic insight in computer hardware and the very basic of programming (problem solving with algorithms)
I was part of a team that was creating a new Project Management System for the translation projects within Xplanation. This was done in Java EJB3. My side of the project was mainly creating and maintaining the serverside functions so my coworkers could focus on the Swing and Web clients.
Together with maintaining the serverside of the EJB3-beans I also had to provide and maintain the code responsible for accessing and updating the database. I had to make sure all 3 database (live, test and development) were running and optimized making adjustments where needed.
