My personal goal and objective is to keep people safe at the workplace and let them go home healthy after work. This in combining the different fields of work and health, fostering human factors, workplace ergonomics, occupational hygiene, occupational medicine and toxicology. I'm interested in those situations where humans get to their limits at the work place - and how to deal with those situations. Further, to develop individual and systemic solutions to maintain motivation and workability of the individual as well as preventing accidents and work related health problems. Besides my current position as program manager of the Swiss national program in Work+Health, I'm involved in teaching different aspects of work and health, as well as medical didactics. Furthermore I'm serving as AHLS instructor as well as in several boards, e.g. European Association of Schools of Occupational Medicine (EASOM), as Chief Editor Occupational Hygiene Training Association (OHTA) as well as in the Accreditation Board of the Swiss Association of Ergonomics (SwissErgo). The DAS Work+Helth is an interdisciplinary postgraduate program which integrates the specialisations Occupational Medicine, Occupational Hygiene and Occupational Health Management. The course lasts 2 years and is half campus based and half distance-learning.
