• Lead the Corporate EHS & governance and strategic direction for the implementation of a risk-based approach for General Electric Corporate encompassing European, Indian, Russian, Middle Eastern and African regions. • Following a transformational business change to deliver a Shared Services Model across global locations, resources were centralized to support all business divisions. • Implemented risk management processes, leading detailed HAZIDs, risk assessments and HAZOPs, ensuring high risk areas are managed to ALARP standards. • Liaised with key stakeholders to align Company and industry safety standards, providing high level analysis on regulations. • Identified a global knowledge gap in the VPI processes following a regional incident, deploying regional process safety resources to support review investigation and growth of safety competency in the region. • Created and deployed successful recovery plan for a regional site following ISO 14001 and 18001 audits. • Led EHS framework and systems training to support multiple acquisition activities across the business, deploying an on-boarding plan for integrated team members to share and accelerate cultural integration into GE ways of working. • Undertook deep-dive analysis of GE businesses to ensure adequate resourcing following an internal restructure, identifying suitable individuals to upskill in High-Risk Operations training to mitigate business risk. • Analysed global priority sites, identifying 70% of the sites requiring ‘Plant Manager Training’ for their senior leaders/executives; engaged with business divisions to host Site Managers and exceptional team leaders, running a series of 2-day training sessions to embed a culture of exceptional EHS leadership. • Designed a structured review process and toolkit to assist frontline EHS employees following an audit from the Group’s loss prevention insurer; facilitating 39% global reduction in human element aged findings alongside continuous improvement reductions.
