I build full-stack applications and write about what I learn. For me, those are the same work. My engineering background spans TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js, and AWS serverless — production experience across AI-powered platforms, APIs, and internal tooling. I'm now deepening that foundation in AI/ML: enrolled in a postgraduate specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at PUC Minas, and working on applied AI projects that I'll build and write about publicly. Before transitioning to tech, I spent 20+ years as a journalist, editor, and media director — leading teams, managing newsrooms under deadline pressure, and communicating complex information to large audiences. That background didn't disappear when I became an engineer. It's why I can write an article that reaches 14,000 readers, deliver an AI Fundamentals curriculum for non-technical learners, and explain a serverless architecture to a non-technical stakeholder without losing the detail engineers need. Built full-stack features and APIs for the Reebok Impact generative AI product — an AI-powered consumer platform — within a serverless AWS architecture. Developed APIs for implementing new features and services on a Node.js backend, using Typescript, Serverless framework, AWS Lambda, CouchDB, S3, and DynamoDB, applying pair and mob programming techniques for coding, debugging, and unit testing tasks. Implemented reusable components in JavaScript and React to develop new user features and contribute to the refactoring project for the front-end architecture. Contributed to the product discovery journey with the developer team, product manager, and other departments to develop efficient solutions and achieve business outcomes. Actioned with other teams and departments, such as Product and Sales, to address improvements, internal tools, and implementation issues.
Implemented migration of web pages into a new Content Management System - CMS (Brightspot). Upgraded and implemented functionalities at Vodafone purchase and sign-in pages, accessed by 3 million consumers, using React, SCSS, and styled Components. Designed and delivered Agile ceremonies and technical and social events to enable and upskill the developer community inside Vodafone. Contributed to the DX project focused on developing the future Vodafone stack, using tools such as React Native, Typescript, GraphQL, React Testing Library, and Jest.
