The project was running concurrent with regulatory development, requiring the team to remain agile as the requirements and regulations shifted from week to week. Maintaining awareness of the changes in the industry, pulling disparate pieces of data together, and connecting the dots to be prepared for unexpected changes are key to success. This attention and awareness of the environment is relevant whether implementing a project or deciding the best investments for your own financial portfolio. Leading a multi-site, multi-year $100M+ project requires a constant balance of stakeholder priorities at every level, inside and outside the company. Collaboration is key to leverage both time and money effectively, particularly when the priorities shift. Creating a vision for the outcome, assessing where we started, and establishing a plan to get us from where we were to where we wanted to be, were the same steps I use today to help women establish a path to their own vision of financial freedom.
