Berlin, Berlin, Germany
For over 20 years, I have worked at the intersection of international development, impact investing, philanthropy, and social change. My experience as the CEO of Save the Children Germany was a formative chapter where I had the privilege of steering the organization through a period of strategic growth. Today, I serve as Managing Director of SEND, where I collaborate with a dedicated team to co-build the national infrastructure for social entrepreneurship in Germany. My perspective has been shaped by partnerships with global NGOs, the UN, the EU, and major foundations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Driven by a belief that impact should be scalable, I co-founded two mission-driven ventures: goodroot, a consultancy pioneering strategic philanthropy and impact measurement, and bcause, a FinTech platform working to democratize access to impact investing and philanthropy.
SEND is an alliance of social entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurial support organisations to strengthen the eco-system for Social Innovation in Germany.
bcause is a FinTech for Good. www.bcause.com
I have been part of many worldwide evaluations and on-sight management tasks of humanitarian responses since 2008 (primarily Middle East, North and Horn of Africa). Clients included the IASC, the UN, many international NGOs and the EU.
