With over 20+ years of experience as an in-house legal counsel, Suresh has provided legal advice and solutions to various industries:- Consumer Electronics (medical systems, lighting, semiconductors, digital broadcasting) Sales & Marketing, Procurement & Supply chain, Manufacturing, Logistics) Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Construction & Engineering, Energy & utilities, Power Transmission & distribution and presently in the Agro-chemicals industry. Suresh's core competencies include legal and contractual advisory, litigation management, corporate governance, risk management, insurance, and compliance. He has led and assisted in setting up legal departments and internal legal procedures, facilitated the management of commercial risks and exposures, supervised and trained junior lawyers, and supported project teams in submitting claims and resolving disputes. He has held several lead roles in the Legal & Compliance departments of various employers in the past, primarily responsible for legal, contracts and commercial matters for all pre-and post-contract matters for related projects. He was responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents, as well as providing legal business support and guidance to the project teams as well as to stakeholders. Suresh is a legally qualified professional and admissible to the Malaysian Bar, having obtained his Bachelor of Laws LL.B degree from University of London and the Malaysian Bar Exams (CLP) from the Legal Profession Qualifying Board, Malaysia. He is fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Bahasa Indonesia, and was previously a licensed Company Secretary. ASEAN Legal Counsel providing business partnering and operational / functional support on legal, company secretarial, compliance, regulatory and business matters involving all countries in the ASEAN region [Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos & the Philippines] in which FMC Corporation currently functions and operates. In this role, I am also a member of the ASEAN Leadership Team. For this position, I report to the General Counsel / Regional Counsel for APAC who is based out of FMC's Singapore Regional Headquarters.

General Counsel / Contracts Manager for all Legal, Contracts, Insurance & Risk Management matters for the Malaysian entity ie: REKIND MALAYSIA SDN BHD (fully owned subsidiary of PT REKAYASA INDUSTRI of Indonesia) in relation to the implementation of the BEPCC for SABAH AMMONIA UREA PROJECT (SAMUR) in Sipitang, Sabah, Malaysia for PETRONAS. Responsible for overseeing the implementation of legal, compliance and contract management duties for all downline subcontractors (in excess of 200 subcontracts) and with PETRONAS. In this function, I was reporting directly to the President Director (MD) cum Project Director of the Malaysian outfit in Kuala Lumpur / Kota Kinabalu.
Led the Contracts & Legal Services Department that was serving the whole Group in relation to day to day legal administrative works, legal advisory, vetting all types of legal contracts, providing legal services assistance to business developmental issues and advice to all Business Divisions of the Company as well as and project management role, contractual claims and related legal functions for the Group in Malaysia & countries where it operates . I was reporting directly to the CEO and later to the COO.
