Skill: Practical Nurse nurses are healthcare workers who provide basic care to patients. They work under the supervision and guidance of professional nurses and doctors. Provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration, and oxygen saturation). Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and mobility. Assist with patient transfers and repositioning to prevent pressure injuries. Observe patients' conditions and promptly report changes to the nursing team. Support medication administration as assigned and permitted by hospital policy. Assist with wound care and basic dressing changes under supervision. Prepare patients for examinations and medical procedures. Collect basic health information and maintain accurate nursing records. Assist with specimen collection as instructed. Maintain infection prevention and control standards. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and families. Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Perform hospital ward support duties and maintain patient safety.
