With over 6 years of work experience in computer science and mechanical engineering, I am a senior research and development engineer at ALCiDES Robotics, a young startup in the field of autonomous mobile robots and automated forklifts. I am passionate about designing and implementing innovative solutions that enhance the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of industrial and logistic processes. I have a PhD in computer science and mechanical engineering from KU Leuven and Eindhoven University of Technology, where I worked on partial synchronization of networked dynamical systems with applications in autonomous driving and neuronal networks. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have studied and worked in different countries and cultures, and I am fluent in English and Chinese. As a senior R&D engineer, I lead a team of engineers and technicians for developing AMR and automated forklifts, covering hardware architecture design, algorithms implementation, and safety functions design and implementation. I use my expertise in SLAM and AI vision to create robust and reliable navigation and perception systems for the robots, and I apply my skills in Python, model predictive control, and Simulink to program and simulate the robot behavior and performance.
