In 2008 Hydro IS Partner became part of EDB Business Partner (later Evry) when Norsk Hydro narrowed down its field of operations and merged with Statoil. EDB Business Partner was one of the largest IT companies in the Nordics prividing extensive deliveries to Nordic businesses, financial institutions, national public sector entities, municipalities and health authorities. Working in EDB I changed from having IBM Domino Notes as my primary focus to work with implementation and operation of Exchange and Office Communication Server for EDB's customers, including several of the largest banks in Norway. Participated as a key member in worldwide migration, consolidation and implementation of a new Exchange/OCS solution for Renewable Energy Corporation (REC). Continued managing this environment until I ended my engagement with EDB.
Working as a Senior System Consultant in the Global Infrastructure Services - Messaging and Collaboration Team in Hydro IS Partner (former Hydro Data) my responsibilities were within Solution Management, Day-to-Day Operations and Change activities (projects). Primary tasks were worldwide implementation, operation and maintenance of IBM/Lotus Domino Notes and installation and operation of Domino-integrated collaboration tools. Performing 3rd line support for our customers and taking part in home duty services with worldwide coverage. Participating in projects testing and implementing new solutions. Writing of documentation and procedures. During my time in Hydro the company was massively involved in production and refinement of products from units within Oil and Energy, Agriculture, Light Metals, Magnesium, Petrochemicals and other activities like Seafood and Pharmaceuticals. At most we served about 50 000 employees in 70 countries.

Working in the head office in Oslo I had a variety of responsibilities managing IT systems in the company. I was running the PC support/helpdesk, both centrally and for local offices, handling troubleshooting and user assistance/support on both software and hardware. Hosting internal courses on computer operations and office tools. Operating the Meridian telephone switch at the Norwegian HQ, performing Novel server and OS/2 Lan server administration as well as installation of software and hardware. Different projects implementing new or upgraded solution like migrating users workplaces from terminals to PC-based systems and implementation and administration of Lotus Notes/Domino.
