I am a software developer working at Google. During my undergraduate study, I worked on a lot of computer vision and machine learning projects. I published 4 research papers in various areas of computer vision. I can say that I travelled all the paths that an undergraduate can take during their study. I participated in Google Summer of Code in my 2nd year. I took part in a lot of hackathons around the globe. Meanwhile, I learned data structures and algorithms too which helped me land a job at Amazon. After working for 3 years at Amazon, I switched to Google. While working at Amazon for 3 years, I tried to explore my horizon and find the areas that interest me. I am extremely excited about my job at Google and looking forward to solving some amazing problems with some extremely smart people. I even started blogging my thoughts at medium : https://sukhadanand.medium.com I also came across the concept of financial independence lately and I aim to attain that stage. Working Under Dr. Chetan Arora at CVML lab. Worked on various image processing and deep learning research projects. Some of the highlights were: 1. Real-time pothole detection on roads using a monocular camera. The project was done for Continental and was extended as a research project. 2. Diversity in fashion recommendation using semantic parsing. The research paper has been published in International Conference on image processing. I am currently working on Article segmentation in newspapers using deep learning.
Working on Parkinson disease metric calculation using a mobile phone camera. We calculate the level of dyskinesia a person is suffering from using computer vision and machine learning techniques. We provide users a platform to predict their level of dyskinesia, before getting actually diagnosed.
I worked remotely with IBM Research India and co-authored a research paper with the title: "Preserving Semantics in Deep scene transformation". The research paper is submitted for review to AAAI 2019.
