As an aspiring International Studies major with a Sociology minor at Boston College, I am driven by a deep passion for understanding how power, identity, and culture shape political life, particularly in the Middle East. Having been raised in the region, I bring lived experience into my academic and professional work, allowing me to approach global politics not just as theory, but as something that directly affects people’s daily lives. My work focuses on how state power is expressed through space and institutions, including citizenship policies, infrastructure, healthcare systems, and urban planning. I am especially interested in how the design and organization of cities shape belonging, exclusion, and access, and how political identity becomes embedded in everyday landscapes. Alongside research, I value community-building and mentorship. Through roles as a Resident Assistant and researcher, I am motivated by environments that prioritize empathy, dialogue, and thoughtful engagement, and I am interested in work that connects policy, place, and people in meaningful and responsible ways. I am always eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to work that bridges academia, policy, and real-world impact, especially efforts that promote equity, cross-cultural understanding, and ethical global engagement.
As a Resident Assistant, I work as a community developer, resource, and mentor for college students on my dorm floor. I complete administrative tasks as instructed by my supervisor, including attending and contributing to team meetings, assisting with residence hall opening and closing, completing programming forms, participating in evaluation processes, attending training programs, and supporting various activities and events associated with the functioning of the Office of Residential Life.
