As founder and CEO of Rewriting the Code, one of the largest global communities uplifting women technologists, I lead with a deep belief in equity. Women are resilient and strong, but systemic barriers, like bias in hiring, pay inequity, or lack of mentorship, mean they don’t begin from the same starting line. I seek to bridge the gaps through corporate partnerships, philanthropy, and programming that connect women with opportunity, mentorship, and industry access. At the heart of it all is community. Because when women are part of a strong community, they're more likely to persist, lead, and thrive. As a former professional and collegiate basketball player at Duke, I learned firsthand the importance of community and its transformative impact on women. Competing at the highest levels taught me how to embrace challenges, inspire others, and lead with focus, all while surrounded by a strong team and community supporting me along the way. That same sense of teamwork and resilience I honed on the court continues to guide my approach to partnerships today. With deep expertise in business development, I have forged partnerships spanning early-stage startups, Big Tech, and philanthropic organizations, including Pivotal Ventures, the Hopper-Dean Foundation, and Pure Storage. My work is guided by the principle of equity through action, that lasting change comes when access and opportunity align. If you’re passionate about empowering the next generation of innovators or represent an organization committed to leveling the playing field, I’d love to connect.
