About

Hello, my name is Sue Fust. Raised in California, I have now lived longer in Minnesota than anywhere else, but still miss the beaches and mountains of LA County. My entire career has been devoted to serving people, primarily children and their families. Whether it be homeless teenage mothers, adolescents with mental health issues, immigrants needing parenting skills, student parents juggling going to school, working a job, and raising a family, I've organized community and social service resources to meet their needs. I've found Clifton StrengthsFinder to provide an excellent insight into what talents I bring to an organization. My Top 5 Themes are: 1. Ideation-People strong in the Ideation theme are fascinated by ideas. They are able to find connections between seemingly disparate phenomena. They improve on the existing, learn quickly, and have agile minds. 2. Input-People especially talented in the Input theme have a need to collect and archive. They collect information, ideas, history, or even relationships. They make great resources because they are knowledgeable, have excellent memories and a great recall of details. 3. Connectedness-People strong in the Connectedness theme have faith in the links between all things. They believe there are few coincidences and that almost every event has a reason. They "don’t sweat the small stuff”, and are always looking at the big picture. 4. Strategic-People strong in the Strategic theme create alternative ways to proceed. Faced with any given scenario, they can quickly spot the relevant patterns and issues and make solid decisions. They are known for their good judgment and the ability to identify risk. 5. Arranger-People strong in the Arranger theme can organize, but they also have a flexibility that complements this ability. They like to figure out how all of the pieces and resources can be arranged for maximum productivity. They are flexible, organized, and are able to realign tasks to find the most productive configuration possible.
