Senior NPI Engineer specialized in SDN and network technologies with 20+ years of experience in telecommunications. • Contributed to New Product Introduction (NPI) for Nuage Networks SDN solutions (VSD, VSC, NSG and related components) and IP platforms, from solution design and deployment at customer sites to troubleshooting, final validation and testing. • Executed installation, integration and upgrades of Nuage SDN solutions on virtualized platforms including VMware and KVM. • Applied advanced networking and virtualization technologies (BGP, VXLAN, OpenFlow, XMPP, OSPF, IP/Ethernet) to deliver scalable overlay networks and automated service provisioning. • Designed and deployed a virtual platform simulation environment for automated QA (Quality Assurance) testing and validation of SDN solutions.
• Served as Principal Project Engineer in the Applications / IP Platforms Group, providing worldwide support for installation, network integration and interoperability testing (IOT) of key IMS and messaging platforms. • Supported deployment and integration of multiple solutions for international customers, including Alcatel-Lucent 5350 Presence/XDMS Server, 5410 XDMS, 5400 IMS Application Server (IAS), 5140 BMC, and Nokia 5110 SMSC.
• Led IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) projects, working closely with Sales, Pre-Sales and Engineering teams to prepare demonstrations, respond to RFPs/RFIs/RFQs and successfully onboard customers. • Managed end-to-end deployment of an IMS Presence Server, from RFP/RFI/RFQ process through integration with third-party IMS Core (P/I/S-CSCF) up to production rollout. • Provided Level 3 technical support and contributed to process improvements for customer ticket management.
• Deployed Content Management System (CMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions to optimize ticket lifecycle and improve customer relations in the Level 3 IMS support and maintenance team. • Defined processes and developed remote support tools, including scripting and audit capabilities. • Created and delivered Alcatel University training programs on IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) products: IMS Core (P/I/S-CSCF), High Availability telecom platform, Application Server and associated SDK.
• Directed the architecture and development of a new Application Layer for mobile phones, including embedded platform, middleware, Man-Machine Interface (MMI) and SDK tools. • Managed cross-functional constraints from Operators, Marketing, Ergonomics and System Architecture teams. • Coordinated architecture, specification, development and integration teams.
• Led software development for the 2003 Alcatel mobile phone range (first colored screens in the Alcatel Mobile Phone Division, including One Touch 735). • Established project structure and contributed to the re-engineering of the Software Department. • Evaluated and selected new embedded UI generation tools.
