Helping HR and Reward leaders rebuild reward programmes for an era of transparency and scrutiny to ensure that pay drives performance rather than creates risk. Partner at Ellason

About

Most companies' reward programmes were built for a different era — less transparent, less regulated, less connected to how people actually make decisions today. I help HR and Reward leaders rebuild them for the world we're in, so pay becomes a driver of performance rather than a source of risk. That means job architecture, pay structures, incentives and performance management — alongside the regulatory work that now sits over all of it: EU Pay Transparency, pay gap reporting, and the broader move towards genuine pay accountability. WHAT I DO I'm a Partner at Ellason LLP, the independent specialist reward consultancy, where I lead the employee reward practice. I work with employers who have a presence across the EU and the UK, including UK groups with EU subsidiaries, UK groups with Northern Ireland operations (now drawn into scope of the EU Pay Transparency regulations via the Windsor Framework), and EU-domiciled employers preparing for the Pay Transparency Directive. My practice is senior-led. Clients hire me because they want a thinking partner, not a slide deck they could have generated themselves. CURRENT FOCUS - EU Pay Transparency Directive — readiness assessments and implementation - Job architecture and evaluation — gradar implementation partner - Pay structure and pay range design - Annual and sales incentive scheme design - Performance management frameworks - Post-M&A reward integration BACKGROUND Nearly 30 years in reward, across sectors, sizes and jurisdictions. Regular speaker at UK and international reward conferences and a regular contributor to the Ellason 'Lens On...' series on employee reward. LET'S TALK If you're wrestling with pay transparency readiness, a reward programme that's no longer fit for purpose, or any aspect of employee reward where an experienced external view would help — message me here, or reach me at [email protected].

The firm already does some work in this area but I will be bringing that together under a new service line and leading the growth and expansion of this area within Blick Rothenberg and as part of the wider Azets Group.
