The Committee oversees the publication of the Maryland REALTOR ® magazine and reviews and recommends member benefits that will provide value to members through its affiliate programs. A subcommittee of members volunteer to judge the MAR Community Service Award, presented at the Annual Conference and EXPO in September.
MISSION: The MAR Leadership Academy is dedicated to broadening and enhancing the leadership skills and capabilities of a blend of real estate professionals to prepare them to assume leadership roles within the industry and community. GOAL: To present a program that will develop potential proactive leaders for the local boards/associations and the state association. The Committee creates, implements, and develops the Academy program, including course content covering state and local issues. The Committee obtains sponsors, screens applicants for admission, emphasizing candidates with potential skills suitable for leadership positions within the industry and monitors the program delivery.
Leadership Academy The Maryland Association of REALTORS has available a leadership training program which enhances the skills of those interested in furthering their leadership skills. The program is first and foremost a personal development program that will benefit participants in their daily lives, either at the firm level, through participation in their REALTOR organizations or through any community organizations or associations. Building strong leaders for tomorrow will help ensure our industry and communities are prepared for the challenges ahead.
