Stuart Parkinson is the President of EMEA at Corient. Stuart was Group CEO of Stonehage Fleming, and has over 30 years of international management, C-Suite and Board level experience in banking, wealth assurance and financial services. Stuart was Group CEO of Lombard International Assurance (a Blackstone Portfolio Company) from 2020-2025. Stuart completed his role in January 2025, following the successful sale of the company to Broadriver Asset Management (US&Bermuda) and Utmost International Group (Europe). Prior to Stuart's role at Lombard International Assurance, Stuart worked for 27+ years at HSBC, where he performed roles covering retail, commercial and investment banking as well as risk management, and country level/regional/global business line management. Stuart has lived and worked in numerous countries in Asia, Middle East, Europe, U.K., North America and South America. In his spare time Stuart is an avid sportsman, keeping fit and playing golf, as well as remaining a strong supporter and fan of his favourite sport, rugby. Stuart is a keen gardener and also enjoys cooking. Stuart graduated from Loughborough University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Banking and Finance.
Responsible for GPBs product proposition, product strategy, investment advisory and overall business conduct, extending to circa 750+ staff across multiple jurisdictions.
Responsible for HSBC's Global Research franchise, extending to 600+ staff in 23 countries. Role includes responsibility for strategic alignment, regulatory obligations, product, budget and people management.
Responsible for business operations of HSBC Mexico, a major, full service, strategically important entity within the HSBC Group, including Compliance Legal, HR, Service and Quality, Network Development and CTSO. Chairmanship and/or participation in country level governance and operating committees and interaction with local regulatory bodies
Supported Global Markets Front office in Hong Kong and throughout Asia Pacific (ASP) in identifying, understanding and managing credit risk arising from Global Markets activities. Contributed to the design, development, implementation and ongoing usage of bespoke credit risk systems to support GM’s new business initiatives. Managed the Traded Market Documentation Unit in Hong Kong. Specifically to handle the negotiation and execution of treasury documentation with all CMB counterparties (and some GB names) throughout ASP, as well as to advise all HBAP areas on Group policy and industry developments in this area
