About

From 1996-1998, I was involved with the Seattle Public Schools as a substitute teacher and Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing from 1999-2010 at Roosevelt High School, Seattle, Washington. For about a year, I was a full-time Deaf/Hard of Hearing teacher at Actis Junior High School for 6th to 8th grade D/HH students in the Kern County Superintendent of Schools, Bakersfield, CA from 1998-1999. I completed my Educational Specialist degree with NCU (North Central Univers during the month of April 2016. I will be entering into a Ph.D in Education program in the fall of 2019.

    I was one of two Deaf/Hard of Hearing Educators working in a Resource room. I was responsible for providing educational support in the following subjects: Math, Reading, Writing and mainstream courses for 9th to 12th grade D/HH students. I conducted annual IEP Individual Educational Plans with other members of the staff, administrators, and families of D/HH students sharing new developments in their child's math, reading, and writing program.
